The Sustainability Office invites you to join us for our Zero Waste Lunch & Learn on Friday, May 24 to gain context around the collapse of the international recycling market, how it is impacting UC Santa Cruz, and what you can do about it!
You may have read in a recent City on a Hill press article that much of UC Santa Cruz's mixed recycling is currently being landfilled. Are you concerned and want to learn more about how our campus is taking action? From beginner to avid recycler, everyone will have something to learn at this Lunch & Learn co-hosted by Sustainability Programs Manager, Kristen Lee, and the student-led Zero Waste Team. We'll have interactive games, food and more!
Location: Colleges 9 & 10 Namaste Lounge
When: Friday, May 24 12pm-1:15pm
Lunch is first come, first serve: burritos from Viva's will be provided to the first 70 people who arrive.
