UCSC Professor and Environmental Studies Chair Andrew Szasz, Ph.D., was selected as the recipient of the 2014 Environmental Sociology Teaching and Mentorship Award from the Environmental & Technology Sections of the American Sociological Association (ASA). This is the nation's most prominent association for Environmental Sociologists, with over 500 members, both faculty and graduate students.
The biannual Teaching and Mentorship Award honors faculty members who have exemplified dedicated, didactic service to the teaching of environmental sociology and also provide top-notch quality mentorship for both undergraduate and graduate students, alike.
